Overview

Pebble overview

Pebble's 252 total is built around defenses rather than speed. Defense leads at 58, Special Defense follows at 57, and Speed trails far behind at 27. Iron Fortress raises both defensive stats by five, while Protect acts with +1 Priority and blocks damage for the turn. Ancient Power rewards a Defense advantage with scaling Skill Power. The attack list mixes physical Rock damage with special Ground moves: Mud Slap targets one opponent, while Earthquake hits all targets. Thrash reaches 150 power, the highest listed base power, but inflicts Fatigue on Pebble after dealing damage.

How to get Pebble

Pebble appears through a wild encounter at Verdant Valley. Its hatch information counts four egg sources and names Pebble's Egg and Pebble's Shiny Egg, providing normal and shiny routes for the first family member.

At level 35, Pebble can progress into Pebroll. Completing that evolution requires 10 Evolution Stones together with 10 Rock Element Stones.

Evolution cost

Pebble evolution route

Pebble opens the three-member order Pebble, Pebroll, and Pebgolem. Its recorded evolution changes it into Pebroll once it reaches level 35.

The first transition costs 10 Evolution Stones and 10 Rock Element Stones. Pebroll then evolves into Pebgolem at level 90 for 30 Evolution Stones and 25 Rock Element Stones. Together, the two adjacent changes complete the recorded linear family without a branch.

Should you use Pebble?

Pebble is a defensive-leaning first form with 58 Defense and 57 Special Defense, reinforced by Iron Fortress, Protect, and Restore. It also offers both Rock and Ground attacks, Sandstorm, and a 150-power finisher. The tradeoffs are pronounced: its total is only 252, Speed is 27, and Thrash inflicts Fatigue on Pebble. Four defensive weaknesses—Fighting, Grass, Steel, and Water—also demand attention even though Fire and Flying damage is halved by its Rock typing.
