Overview

Twirlby overview

Twirlby adds Flying to the family's Bug typing and reaches 509 total stats. Speed is highest at 100, Attack follows at 97, and Defense reaches 92, while 65 Special Attack remains lowest. Much of the skill list fits the physical side: Poison Spike removes enemy boosts, Web Bind provides 80-power Bug damage, and Wing Combo deals Flying damage while adding three Bleed stacks. Its control options remain broad through a two-point Accuracy reduction and full inversion of the target's stat changes. Silkburst is the special exception, combining 110 power with one-stage reductions to both Attack and Special Attack.

How to get Twirlby

Twirlby appears as a wild encounter at Silent Sands. Its hatch data counts four egg sources and names Humding's Egg and Humding's Shiny Egg, connecting egg acquisition to the first member of the line.

For evolution, raise Flutterby to level 90. Producing Twirlby consumes 30 Evolution Stones, 15 Bug Element Stones, and 15 Flying Element Stones, matching its final Bug and Flying typing.

Evolution cost

Twirlby evolution route

Twirlby closes the Humding, Flutterby, and Twirlby line. Humding first evolves into Flutterby at level 35 for 10 Evolution Stones, six Bug Element Stones, and six Flying Element Stones.

Flutterby then becomes Twirlby at level 90 for 30 Evolution Stones, 15 Bug Element Stones, and 15 Flying Element Stones. Twirlby's data contains no outgoing evolution, so the recorded family ends with this final dual-type form.

Should you use Twirlby?

Twirlby fits a player seeking the family's final 509-total form, especially for 100 Speed, 97 Attack, and a wide set of stat-control effects. It can remove boosts, lower Accuracy, invert stat changes, add Bleed, or reduce both offensive stats. Its dual typing also cuts Fighting and Grass damage to 0.25x. The cost is a much broader defensive danger list than the earlier Bug-only stages: six types strike Twirlby for 2x, including Electric, Fire, Flying, Ice, Poison, and Psychic.
